Risk disclosure

Risks in cross-chain swaps, explained

Non-custody reduces platform custody risk, but not congestion, market moves, wrong addresses, or impersonation scams. This page covers risk boundaries, a pre-payment checklist, and steps if something goes wrong. It is not investment, tax, or legal advice.

Risk types

Six common risk types

01

Network risk

Source or destination chains may congest, fork, reorg, pause for upgrades, or fail unexpectedly. That can delay confirmation and, in extremes, pause completion or extend the next step.

What to checkWe use live quotes, payment countdowns, and order tracking so you can follow progress. If a route cannot finish as expected, that order’s rules govern refunds or review.

02

Market risk

Crypto prices move continuously. Between starting a swap, confirming a quote, and payment recognition/completion, prices may change and affect payout or whether a route still fills.

What to checkThe page shows the estimated net amount and expiry for the current quote. Recheck before confirming. If the quote expires or the route is unavailable, request a new quote before paying.

03

Protocol and routing risk

Cross-chain swaps depend on settlement and liquidity. Even with mature rails, contract issues, thin liquidity, or route interruptions cannot be fully ruled out.

What to checkPublic pages only show this site’s order status and on-chain transaction hashes. If something looks wrong, keep your recovery link and hashes and contact support chat.

04

User operation risk

Wrong address, wrong network, missing Memo/Tag, unsupported destinations, or exchange withdrawal addresses that cannot receive refunds—on-chain transfers are usually irreversible once confirmed.

What to checkThe address step checks formats and prompts you to verify networks. Before sending, check the deposit address, amount, network, and any Memo carefully. Exchange withdrawals must also follow the payment instructions.

05

Timing and payment-window risk

Each order has a payment deadline. Paying late, failing to top up underpayment before the deadline, or sending again outside the window may prevent completion at the original quote.

What to checkWatch remaining time on the payment page. After the deadline, do not keep paying the old address; follow the latest status and create a new order if needed.

06

Information and scam risk

Fake support, phishing links, requests for private keys, or “unfreeze fees” are unrelated to the swap itself but can cause direct loss.

What to checkOnly use this site’s pages and the official bottom-right live chat. There is no freezable on-site balance requiring a paid unlock; any request for private keys is not trustworthy.

Service boundaries

Boundaries of VeerSwap

What we do

  • No wallet connection and no private keys stored. Real orders show a deposit address and payment instructions.
  • Order progress and on-chain hashes are on the payment page. You can generate a recovery link to reopen the order on another device.
  • Estimated payout and processing time follow the current quote and order status, with prompts to verify network and Memo.
  • Public pages do not expose upstream channel names; verify using this site’s status and transaction hashes.
  • On exceptions, refund or move to needs-review under that order’s rules, with live support available.

What you must verify

  • This site cannot control arrival speed during congestion, forks, or network downtime.
  • Under extreme volatility, this site cannot guarantee fillability or a locked final amount.
  • On-chain results from a wrong address, wrong network, or missing Memo cannot be unilaterally reversed.
  • This site cannot resolve your exchange’s withdrawal limits, review delays, or address-book restrictions.
  • Outages in third-party liquidity or settlement infrastructure may affect route availability.

If something goes wrong

What to do if something goes wrong

  1. 01

    Check order status

Open the payment page or a saved recovery link, check the status, and do not send again just because the source chain already broadcast.

  2. 02

    Compare confirmation time

Compare typical source-chain confirmation times to see if you are still in a normal waiting window; congestion can extend it significantly.

  3. 03

    Support chat

If funds still have not arrived or refunded, prepare the order ID and transaction hashes and contact support chat. Never share private keys or seed phrases.

FAQ

Risk FAQ

Does non-custodial mean there is no risk?

No. Non-custodial means this site does not store your keys or collect funds into its own wallet. Market moves, address mistakes, and congestion still exist.

Will I lose funds if a swap fails?

Normal failures follow that order’s refund rules. Wrong addresses, wrong networks, or missing Memo can still be irreversible under chain rules that no platform can unilaterally reverse.

Does this site give investment advice?

No. This site only provides swap tools and order tracking. It is not investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Why is arrival slower than estimated?

Estimates usually cover route processing only—not time spent entering addresses or sending—and do not guarantee no congestion. Follow order status.

What if I lose the recovery link?

If the same browser still has the session cookie, you may reopen the payment page. Otherwise contact support with order ID and hash; an order ID alone usually cannot restore access automatically.

Does No KYC mean funds cannot be frozen?

No KYC means no registration or ID upload; this site also has no on-site balance to freeze. Abnormal payments may still refund or need review—see the AML notice.

Need help checking an order?

If you still have questions, start with the help center and policies; to check an order, open live support with your order ID and transaction hash.
